Default Skills, what's the deal?

Ok, for starters I am a little aggrivated at factions in general.

I can't seem to understand why every new town I unlock, the skill trainer there offers the same skills as the town before it. New town, same skills, boring.

Why can't factions be like prophecies? New town, a couple new skills at the new trainer. Kinda gives you something to strive for.

Where are all the skills that were in the preview? Theres barely any selection of skills at the trainers and I'm getting bored of using the same ones.

Thanks

-Dan

Not as many skills as GW:P...?

Thats what I've been assuming it is anyway. Plus, they want you to buy skills..so why restrict access?

1. I don't think there are as many new skills, the ones added from Guild Wars: Factions, as there were in Guild Wars: Prophecies. Thus, would make it harder to spread the skills out.

2. It has been noted many, many times that Arena Net implemented things in Factions to sort of "force" you to buy skills. Examples would be skill point and Money rewards for quests/missions. So, it makes sense that these skills should be readily available. Which is why every new skill can be bought in Canthan Pre, (<-assumption) and why skill trainers are available in mission areas.

Hopefully that helped.

If I'm not mistaken, all the skill trainers at Kaineng and later have every non-elite in stock.

Also don't forgot you can learn skills you unlock with faction.

25 skills per existing profession as well as 75 skills for the new professions.

(25x6)+(75x2)

Add that to the existing 450 skills.

That's incorrect. All the skill trainers from Kaineng forward have most of the skills available, but each of them has a few new skills. I still don't see why everyone is grumpy with being able to pick your own skills now rather than being forced into a build.

I don't really mind it right now, I've bought a few new skills for my various Tyrian characters, but because it costs 1k (skill points are easier to come by than money in Cantha...), I am forced to really think about a skill I want to purchase.

Ah I get it now.

Not a very big selection of skills at the trainers for the Ritualist.

My response is "That's it?"

Uhh.. Keineng has all skills, at least, for the core professions, because I remember buying them from there and then checking with the priest of baltzasar(sp?) to see if I was missing any.

Having a skill trainer everywhere is convenient though. Means I don't have to map to a particular part just to get a cap sig, or, for those characters who don't have the skill points/money, I can buy skills throughout the game rather than only from Kaineng.

I'm being forced into a build by having to buy them. More skills is always a good thing. I was never "forced" into using the skills i got from quests, It gave me more money so I could buy the skills I wanted, and try out new builds.
